Years prior to COVID, Dan lead the planning and execution of Pebblehaven ending its over decade long renting of office space to become an entirely remote operation. Phone calls were shifted to a virtual PBX system that rang mobile phones, emailed voicemails, among other configurations that were years ahead of more widespread adoption. Workstation security was reimagined with cloud computing security such as Umbrella from OpenDNS (later acquired by Cisco), among many other changes. This allowed Pebblehaven to support an employee that decided to move to Texas, another that had been inquiring about working from home, still seamlessly answer calls from clients in warmer climates during major storms in New England, all while reducing overhead.
